CasTech crew striping fresh parking lot lines adjacent to sealcoated pavement

Crestview, FL

Project summary

A medical complex required a pavement rehabilitation that preserved uninterrupted emergency access while restoring surface performance and renewing pavement markings. The phased work refreshed faded striping, reconfigured accessible stalls, addressed localized pavement distress, and applied targeted polymer-modified overlays where traffic demands warranted.

Project overview

The job was staged across 21 work zones so construction could proceed without closing critical entrances or the emergency department. The phased approach allowed progressive restoration of parking capacity and minimized disruption to patients, staff, and daily operations.

What the job included

The work combined pavement preservation and surface renewal: phased sealcoating, crack sealing and spot asphalt repairs, targeted SureFlex polymer-modified overlays in high-wear areas, and full restriping including updated ADA stall layouts and directional markings.

Challenges on site

Weather windows were limited during the schedule, and the lot layout left small, high-traffic sections that needed attention without impacting access. Most importantly, the emergency department and primary clinic entries had to remain available throughout the project.

CasTech’s approach

Work was executed in phased zones with clear traffic-control plans and temporary reroutes to protect emergency routes. Critical areas received priority sequencing so patient access remained uninterrupted. Localized repairs and crack sealing were followed by sealcoating across zones; high-wear locations received a SureFlex polymer-modified overlay to extend service life. The final pass included full restriping and reconfiguration of accessible stalls to align with current layout needs.

Finished result

The rehabilitation restored pavement appearance and contrast, improved surface integrity in traffic corridors, and delivered clearer, compliant accessible parking layouts. The facility maintained continuous emergency access during construction, and staff and visitors now have a safer, more organized parking experience with refreshed markings and targeted durability upgrades in the busiest areas.
