Choosing and Ordering Jersey Barriers

Match the product to its intended use

CasTech manufactures concrete F-type barriers and sells portable plastic units. Concrete and plastic products differ in handling, placement, and the way they are used. Tell us whether the project involves access control, parking circulation, a temporary work area, or another site requirement so we can discuss the available products.

A barrier’s shape or name does not establish an impact rating. Where a project calls for crash-tested protection or a specified traffic-control system, CasTech needs the required specification before confirming a product. Portable channelizing units should not be assumed to provide the same protection as an approved barrier system.

Confirm product details before ordering

The concrete F-type unit shown on this page is 10 feet long, 20 inches wide, and 2 feet 8 inches high, with 5,000 PSI rebar-reinforced concrete. Our team confirms the selected unit, quantity, current availability, weight, and handling requirements as part of your quote.

The plastic units shown use UV-treated polyethylene and can accept water or sand ballast. CasTech confirms the particular product and its connection and filling instructions with the order; site-specific requirements determine whether that product is suitable.

Agree on handling and placement responsibilities

For a supply order, CasTech confirms pickup or delivery arrangements and who will unload, position, connect, and, where applicable, fill the units. Those responsibilities belong in the quote so your receiving team knows what to expect.

If CasTech installation or placement is part of the approved scope, our team coordinates the required equipment, access, staging, and layout with your site contact. Share gate restrictions, delivery access, surface conditions, and any facility rules that affect the work.

Coordinate the surrounding traffic layout

Barriers need to fit the site’s vehicle routes, entrances, and pedestrian access. Where appropriate to the project, CasTech can scope related traffic signage, parking lot markings, or wheel stops as separate, clearly identified items.

To request a barrier quote, provide the project location, intended use, preferred product, quantity, requested date, and whether you need supply or CasTech placement. We confirm the available arrangements before you commit.
