We coordinated pavement rehabilitation at a medical complex in Pensacola using 19 work zones to organize the project around the facility’s access needs. Our scope included sealcoating, crack sealing, asphalt repairs, SureFlex application, and new parking lot striping.
Building the plan around patient and staff access
The complex needed to remain accessible while sections of its parking area were renewed. We worked with the facility team to divide the lot into 19 zones and plan how each closure would connect with the entrances and parking areas still in use.
Patient drop-off, staff parking, service routes, and emergency access have different demands. We considered those needs together so one stage of the work did not leave the next without a workable approach.
Bringing the surface and markings together
Our crew coordinated crack treatment, localized repairs, surface application, and final striping within the closure plan. The finished layout included parking-space boundaries, directional arrows near the covered entrance, accessible-space markings, access aisles, and fire-lane curb markings.
Those details give people a clearer route through the property. They also show why the markings deserve their own place in the proposal alongside the pavement treatments.
Continuing the rehabilitation program
Following this phase, the facility awarded us additional rehabilitation work covering approximately 65,000 square yards. That follow-on scope gave us the opportunity to continue the pavement program while working with the facility’s operating needs.
